ProtoMed (Pvt) Ltd is Sri Lanka's foremost medical technology company specialising in the design, engineering and manufacture of patient-specific implants using PEEK — the world's leading biomaterial for cranial, spinal and orthopaedic surgery. Every implant is modelled from the patient's own CT or MRI scan, delivering anatomical precision no off-the-shelf device can match.
Incorporated in Colombo in 2019, ProtoMed is the first and — to date — the only domestic manufacturer of patient-specific implants in Sri Lanka. Headquartered in Colombo with an R&D hub in Singapore, the company exports to India and Ghana, bringing precision medicine to patients across South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
